Rain, Records & Real Talk ☔🎶
Hey my beautiful punk souls 💚 Writing to you from a hotel room in the middle of nowhere while rain taps on the windows like it’s trying to join the band. It’s one of those rare quiet days on tour. No soundchecks. No interviews. No chaos (well, aside from our bassist trying to microwave leftover fries without removing the foil 🤦♀️). Just a moment to breathe.

We’ve been running full speed lately—city to city, stage to stage—and don’t get me wrong, I LOVE it. I live for the volume, the lights, your voices screaming lyrics right back at me. But today? Today I took it slow. I found this dusty little record shop tucked behind a café and wandered in with zero expectations.

And wow… I found a first-pressing of The Distillers' Sing Sing Death House. That album raised me. Held my hand when I was a mess. Screamed when I couldn’t. I nearly cried holding it. The shop owner recognized me and—get this—played Burn It Bright through the store speakers. I laughed, got a little teary, signed a record sleeve, and talked music for an hour with strangers who felt like old friends.
That’s the magic, isn’t it? Music connects people who’ve never met. It heals, rages, loves, and remembers. Just like we do.

Later, we all sat in the van eating cheap diner pancakes, talking about nothing and everything. Sometimes, between the loud moments, it’s the quiet ones that hit the hardest.
Wherever you are tonight, I hope you’re doing okay. And if you’re not—play your favorite song loud. Let it carry you. Let us carry you. That’s what this community is about.
Love you more than late-night fries and vinyl treasures,
Lux xx
