On the Road with Velvet Horizons

Hey everyone, Stephanie here... writing from somewhere between one soundcheck and the next. Life has been a blur lately: stages, lights, long drives, and that strange mix of exhaustion and euphoria that only touring can give you.

Velvet Horizons is officially on the road, and every night feels a little different, a little wilder, a little more ours. There’s something about sharing the stage with Mauro and Wolf that keeps me grounded and high at the same time. Mauro’s fire never stops burning; he’s always chasing new sounds, new risks, new skies. Wolf is the opposite current: quiet, precise, steady. Between them, I’ve found this strange peace, like being pulled in two directions that somehow make perfect sense together.

Most mornings start with half-slept dreams and a cup of coffee in some city that already feels like a memory. My sax feels like an extension of my body. Sometimes, during the shows, I catch a glimpse of the crowd and it hits me,we’re really out here again. After everything. And in those moments, I stop thinking, stop planning. I just play. The photo I’m sharing here was taken during one of our first tour rehearsals. I don't know if Wolf or Mauro, someone caught that second between two notes, eyes closed, breath halfway gone.
