Things hadn't exactly been calm lately. Liam seemed to attract chaos, no matter where he went — fights, bad decisions, even the occasional regret that hit always too late to matter. He kept telling himself it was just who he was, that some people were built for noise and bruises. Not quiet. He still felt the same restlessness under his skin, the same itch to move, to burn off everything that threatened to get too close. Yet, there were moments — sometimes briefly and accidental — when he caught himself enjoying the calm. Maybe because of her. Maybe, just until the next mess.
