He rolled his eyes. And then rolled his eyes again.
How was that possible that almost every person in his crew, who was helping him manufacture the next new collection of jewelry, pissed him off by scheduling meeting after meeting in cities. Wasn't he supposed to fly back to London after they were done with a company in Berlin? And yet, he was practically forced to stay and spend the next few nights there before moving forward.
And then there were other guys. Colleagues, old college buddies, who were back from traveling and eager to get together to grab a beer in the bar. Nonetheless—pick up chicks as they liked to call it.
“I can't, I'm seeing someone already..” he finally burst out in the video call, to what guys gave him the emotion of surprised-flabbergasted-interested all in one.
- “Shiiit.. I wanna see.”
- “Send us a picture..”
- “A blonde or a brunette? Or even a redhead?”
Certainly, they were eager to know more about her. But–it wasn't like that he was willing to send them a picture of her nor comment on any of the features she had. Elliot hadn't been like that, although guys thought he would be like that.. at least for a while after being single for that long.
He was enough brave to remain a gentleman. Elliot may have enjoyed letting loose sometimes with guys and making silly inside jokes because sometimes they were willing to act like 15-year-olds, but he had always remained a gentleman when it came to girls and relationships.
Before any of these guys had a possibility to go further, Elliot hung up and chose another name in the list to give another video call.
And the moment she picked up, face appearing on his screen, he smirked lovingly.
“Hi.. how is my girl doing today?”
and that, my guys, is called harmony, he thought. he wished his guys felt that once in their life too, then they would know how precious it was to keep some things to themselves.
