I don’t know how to write this without crying, so if my words come out a bit messy today, forgive me. I’ve been called a poet before, but even the prettiest lyrics I’ve ever sung couldn’t come close to capturing this feeling.
Cherry being pregnant still feels surreal. She’s carrying our child, and she’s glowing. I don’t mean that as a throwaway phrase. I mean she walks into a room and everything else dims. I’m a mess in the best way. I keep catching myself watching her when she’s not looking, hand on her belly, humming, painting her toenails, eating the strangest combinations and calling it gourmet.
I fall in love with her a hundred times a day. Sometimes I wake up before her just to stare at her for a while and whisper things to the bump that I hope our baby hears. Probably embarrassing things. Probably ridiculous things. I don’t care. I’m already that dad.
We’ve been through a ride together, tours, parties, the devil himself. But this… this is our quiet miracle. No stage lights, no crowds,
