I talked to the critics and they suggested that you could use cover songs with higher popularity and quality but less fame to improve your shows until your own songs are good enough to hit the charts!
They also told me, that if you want to jam your song up to 100% you need your genre skill up to five stars. Only fully jammed songs can get full rating.
