still mad, still yours

I can't believe how quickly this year has flown by. Like most people on New Year's Eve, I found myself reflecting on what the past year brought and what the new one might hold. I'm still not sure about the future, but one thing I know for certain: this past year has been the most incredible of my life.

I became Mrs. Olofsson. Oh Kobe, how I love hearing that name. I was never one of those girls who starts planning a wedding the moment she meets a man—but Liūtas… he changed everything. My knees probably buckled the moment we met in that grocery store. I never admitted it until now. And these days, those knees still buckle—and part—even more often, just at the sight of him. I can’t stroke his ego too much, but I adore him.

Sure, we fight. Loudly. We argue so hard the backstage could collapse, but our makeups are even louder. Honestly, I’ll find the tiniest reason to pick a fight, just to have him pin me against the wall and remind me I’m his.

He gave me something I never thought I’d have in this life—a daughter. Noelle. She’s so beautiful I honestly don’t know if there’s anything more breathtaking in the world than her. I still carry a little grudge that Liūtas left me in the middle of labor to suffer on my own, but I’ll be grateful to him for the rest of my life.

This same man didn’t just change my last name or my relationship status—he gave me a firm smack on the ass, both literally and figuratively. I found myself on stage, alone. The first time I stepped up, I thought I was going to faint at the very least. Now, I’ve sort of gotten used to it.

That’s the kind of year it’s been. But with him by my side, I know this next one will be even more extraordinary. Thank you, my love. None of this would’ve happened without you. And yes—I’m still a little mad.
