let's think about tomorrow when the sun comes up.

His lungs hurt - if not from running, then from shouting apologies into the night, while Chiharu’s laughter echoed through the empty streets like a complete Maniac’s. Neither of them had any idea what alleyway they had just turned into. All that mattered was that the taxi driver that had followed them angrily for the past minutes had eventually given up.

When they finally stopped, bent over and completely out of breath, Kazuya couldn’t help but laugh as well.

Maybe it was the panic, maybe the weed or just the absurdity of the situation, mixed with all of these; but for once all the things that had weighing down on him for too long had slipped to the back of his mind and he just... laughed.
They weren't gone, nor were the worries forgotten, but they certainly didn't feel as heavy anymore.

Their journey had been nothing but chaos so far.

Amsterdam had them stumble from coffee shops to canals that seemed to tilt under their feet, laughing at nothing, before they hopped onto a train and made their way to Paris.
There, their day started with lukewarm coffee and pastries underneath the Eiffel Tower, followed by some sightseeing and a party, that he didn't remember leaving.

He woke up to a lot of blurry photos and a couple silly texts to people, that he probably shouldn't have sent, but had anyway.

Fortunately the worry about them had been easy to forget on their way to Spain, to finally catch some sun and well-deserved rest at the beach, before they would wander the streets without a plan, right into the next party before he could even protest.

Who needed sleep anyway?

Or money to pay the taxi ride back to the hotel...
