The next time he actually checked his phone for messages, Kazuya was faced with 18 unread messages and 11 missed calls. Also a couple of private messages on his social media, that finished a rant that had started somewhere in that flood of messages earlier.

He rubbed his eyes; tired.

It had been barely a day of silence, so why exactly was everyone in his business already?

Right, because usually it was the other way round.
Usually it was him, leaving messages and unanswered calls and maybe, just maybe, he'd really have to re-think that strategy. Because it wasn't smart. And so easy to ignore, when with just a single tap, the notifications were already gone. It didn't even take him much effort, nor was he really curious about what was written there.

The photographer already knew.

And it wasn't what kept him up that night, even when his body felt so tired it was aching and his brain not ready to sleep more, but also not fully awake yet.

Narrowing his eyes at the screen that seemed too bright for a moment, he shifted between the sheets, careful to not move too much as he was trying to find a more comfortable position - one without the risk of his phone falling right into his face while scrolling through his feed.
