Tick tock, tick tock...
Time is slowly slipping away and with it comes the knowledge that my life and what remains of my family will change forever. Family... It's hard to believe that a chance meeting in Berlin was the start of families... our lives... getting intertwined so thoroughly for more than 50 years. Soon the thread binding us together will be broken, but the memory of it will remain for eternity.
There are no words to express how much I will miss
you. We've tried leaving before, had a sabattical for a couple of years, but were missing the family too much, so we came back, renewed our vows and remained close to those we hold dear. I know how hard it was for my twin sister
Lilah when I left. That is why I will stay here and try to pick up the pieces of a life without you. I'm losing a large part of my family, but I also still have family left to stick around for.
It'll be hard without you, but I'll be here to keep your memory alive, even if it hurts.
