Life comes at you mad fast…
First things first: I let the man of the house be the man of the house again so I can sit back, sunbathe, and be pampered.
Only the waters of the lake know my conflicted soul lately. I do miss the Hamptons and the city sometimes. You can take the girl out of New York City but you definitely can’t…well, ya know the rest.
Kobe knows I prayed a million times last year. I tried to write it away, read it away, and the rest of what Solo had said. Wishing away the inevitable. You know you want your kids to do better than yourself. What did I get? The cutest little not-quite granddaughter. Cuz for real, I am nobody’s wela. Love my girls to death and Paris is the cutest but… lesss be real. Either the day I stop looking like
this or the day grandmas look like
dis, I’ll claim it. But until then…
It’s so good having a newborn around and I can honestly say that I do not miss it for myself at all. Probably because Rome & Remi keep me busy, on my toes, and worn out daily. But as for the babies I can love on and pass back? Dame. 🤍
As much as I want mine to be independent, I do cry with each passing birthday and try to soak up the last of their little years. I’m STILL picking my babies up and holding them and they are HEAVY.
I love the life we’ve made here. It’s calm and slow. I never tire of showing my babies the Italian cities and countrysides. I’m definitely a coastal mami and there’s plenty of that. And always a gozadera somewhere just in case we get the energy to pop out but Kobe knows that’s rare. Not sure my husband can keep up with me anymore anyway.
