The Last Breath of a Forgotten Moment
In some alternate drift of the multiverse, we never finished becoming who we were meant to be. We remain suspended at our most exquisite captured in a single frame where light touches our skin one final time before surrendering to the dark. Memory tries to resurrect us, but even memory is a fragile organism; it decays, mutates and forgets its own origin.
Still, you can linger inside that photograph if you choose.
You can survive there not as flesh, not as warmth, but as a trace written into the quiet machinery of the cosmos. A whisper encoded in fading photons. A presence that continues only because the universe has not yet extinguished the last particle of our shared moment.
Perhaps that is the cruel beauty of it:
we live longer in a memory than we ever could in a body.
