"Autumn, guess what!"
"What?"
"Vivian is going on a camping trip today with a bunch of her friends."
"Aww, that's so cute. Just like us."
"Exactly. Just like we did. She is the exact same age I was when we went on our trip to Stonehenge..."
Autumn narrowed her eyes confused at her sister. What was she getting at? It took her a few more moments, but eventually she got her: "Damn! We're old! Has it really been that long? That trip is still one of my favourite memories. I bet on one of the stones is still your B + B heart."
Bella nooded and showed Autumn a photo Vivian had sent her, of the heart 14 year-old Bella had carved in one of the stones. Bella + Brooklyn. "Well we didn't last. But you know, who hasn't changed one bit..."
Autumn didn't even have to see the picture to know what Bella was about to show her next. She had completely forgotten about it until now. There was a second heart hiding on one of the stones, one Autumn had drawn while daydreaming. "Yeah yeah, I was 15 and had a crush... You're right. Not much has changed in that department... except for the age..."
"A + C. Awww. It's the anniversary of your crush. Got any special plans?" While teasing her sister, Bella gave Autumn a playful nudge.
"Shut up!"
"Where is your creativity A? Look at this photo and tell me this isn't THE perfect cover for our "Meant To Be, Eventually" album! What are the odds that this is still there after all this time and Vivian found it this year- this week? I'm telling you, the universe ships some people -hard!"
Autumn’s eyes drifted from the photo on the phone screen up to Bella’s face. With the driest expression imaginable, she replied, "Yep, universe put us on a boat once. Nothing happened."As much as she tried to fight it, an amused smile crept onto Autumn’s face anyway. "Fine. I guess it's kind of cute..."
"It's Destiny!" Bella grinned and got started on the album cover.
