and I don't know where the music is coming from.
This is exactly how she felt during the meeting with the estate agent. They got too much information, and she still had no idea what they had to do, or what she liked, or worse, what she wanted.
But that wasn't entirely true. She knew one thing she wanted: a house by the water in the Cotswolds, by the river in this case. Living near a river or a lake was very important for her because it reminded her of her parents' cabin in London, where she enjoyed the happiest times of her childhood.
Her small wish made everything easier. The estate agent showed her an option, and she felt something similar to the day Elliot proposed to her, but less intense. That was the place, their place, their home. Martina could immediately imagine their future there.
That's why a couple of weeks later, after they signed a lot of papers, she dragged him there and asked him to take a picture of her before their next chapter began.
Autumn, Year 149. Cotswolds. Martina caught a cold after ignoring her husband's warnings to put on her coat.
