little miracles
There were only a few days left until our beautiful daughter would join our family. Throughout my pregnancy, time sometimes felt endless; each passing day seemed to move in slow motion. Especially during the first weeks—the morning sickness, the constant physical changes and aches, the sleepless nights... It was challenging, yes. But knowing that we would finally hold our little miracle in our arms made everything worthwhile.
Around the middle of my pregnancy, we moved to Tokyo, turning a whole new page in our lives. A brand new city, a new home, a new routine... At first, the change felt overwhelming but also incredibly exciting. Tokyo’s order, elegance and calmness brought us peace. Knowing that our family would grow in this city warmed our hearts.
Once we settled into our new home, the very first thing we did was prepare the nursery. We filled every corner of the room with love. We had soft flower illustrations painted on the walls in pastel tones, hung delicate curtains by the window and lined the shelves with tiny storybooks. A small crib, cozy blankets, plush toys… Every detail was chosen with care, just for our daughter. Every time I walked into that room, my eyes would well up with tears—it felt like everything was whispering of her arrival.
And as Christmas—the time of year I love most—drew near, my excitement grew with each passing day. Christmas has always meant hope, love and fresh beginnings to me. But this Christmas was different from any other. This time, it wasn’t just about twinkling lights, presents or warm cups of cocoa—it was about the tiny baby girl we were about to hold in our arms. She was the most precious gift we could ever receive.
This was going to be the most unforgettable Christmas of my life. Because the most treasured member of our family was about to arrive—wrapped in the endless love we had been saving just for her.
