Noah looked at him, then snorted. “Good to know your stupid muffins worked well enough.”
Before he could say anything, the car screeched to a stop in front of the hospital, and Dean was already out before the engine could settle. He tossed the keys over to his cousin without a care.
“Mhm. Park the car” he called, but then he took a moment to look at him. “Not as good as your burgers” He shot back instantly, grinning wider when Noah groaned.
Behind him, Noah was cussing loud enough to make heads turn, but Dean didn’t hear the words. He was already running, heart pounding for all the right reasons this time. He didn’t care if Isa yelled, cried, or broke his hand— he just needed to see her. His wife. His best friend. His Isa.
And if she needed to beat the hell out of him during labor? He’d let her. Happily.
