Emma stared at the message on her phone, her hands trembling slightly. The memories she’d buried came rushing back. That time had been a blur... She never would have done it otherwise. But the damage was done.
She’d slept with him, not knowing anything about his life. Not the girlfriend, not the baby on the way—none of it. She’d regretted it ever since. And now,he was back. His sudden reappearance felt like fate twisting the knife.
