“10 minutes.”
“Oh, I don't need more than that, thank you.”
That's what the guard said as he let Camilla into the cell.
Damien's cell.She and Rhys had finally caught him and dragged his ass all the way back to London. Camilla knew that it wasn't the end. Honestly, she knew it wasn't exactly an official case, either, but it was as if she had done the independent detective work throughout the whole period. Yet, how could she have left it? Luna's brother, who already had issues getting aggressive easily, had no idea his sister had a boyfriend, who had abused her and threatened her for years. Damien, actually, should have said thank you to Camilla for staying alive for that long.
“We know there's more.” Camilla eyed the man without fear. “A lot of women that you have abused over the years, and we know you have bought prostitution services,” she added.
Damien snorted. “And? It's not exactly illegal. I wasn't pimping.” and of course, he wasn't shy, either.
“But money laundering? Your father has multiple businesses in Brazil..”
Damien's fist hit the bars. “Prove it!”.
Camilla shrugged her shoulders and pulled several papers out of her folder. She had printed proof of Damien's actions a day before in case he didn't believe her. True, he had been careful, and without Rhys, she wouldn't have succeeded. The guy had written his name under a lot of papers, as well, to cover his tracks for the purpose of making them seem legal and right. The man just stood there, leafing through every page. Yeah, he soon knew he was doomed!
“Shit! Fucking police, the government, and the whole system of freaking chasers of law!”.
“We'll see you in court, Damien! With all the other girls! And making sure Luna is there to testify against you!” Camilla hissed once more before the guard alerted her time visiting was up.
