2. Pancakes

It had been about three years; he was fine, he was safe, but he still woke up startled by any loud noise. Living with Luna was never quiet, but little by little he stopped anxiously staring at the bedroom door when he woke up like that. He soon recognized his surroundings, and there was no need for that state of alert; the door no longer needed to be blocked either.

He didn’t know the source of the noise, but soon he heard the girl's voice coming from another room. Oops. He sighed and pulled the cat, who was sleeping next to him, under the blanket, hugging it and closing his eyes again. It was Monday, but he was on vacation from school, so he could sleep a little longer. However, a few minutes later, Luna peeked her head through the crack in the door. “Hey, are you sleeping?” she whispered, and the boy murmured a lazy yes. After hearing her giggle, a loving voice followed. “I made pancakes, don’t sleep too much. Gen is running, but she'll be back soon. I'm leaving now.” She said goodbye with a loud kiss in the air.

He mentally waved goodbye to the girl running down the stairs. The house would soon be in the perfect state for a bit more sleep, very quiet. He was grown up, there was no problem being alone for a few minutes. He was protected in that house he loved so much. Agust purred in his embrace, and he soon fell asleep again.
