After weeks of drifting city to city, night to night I landed in New York again. The streets greeted me like an old song I forgot I knew the words to. Familiar. Different. Louder somehow. It didn’t take long before the city whispered something new: an invitation. A white penthouse, ONIGIRI’s newest concept DIVE & DINE - NY. A place where dessert meets concept. Where flavor moves like sound. Where even sugar has a rhythm.
They called it a Franchise Inauguration, but it felt more like a soft launch into another dimension. Each dessert was designed like a tracklist: a cake for every IVE member, a shake to match their vibe. Floral, fiery, glittered, grounded. It wasn’t just dessert, it was art you could bite into.
Inside, everything pulsed. The beat underfoot, conversations like static, eyes bright with curiosity. I didn’t talk much. Just watched. Took it in. That’s how I move. A clink of a glass. A burst of laughter. Something floral in the air. I let the music pull me away from the wall, into the current. Danced for a moment. Not for anyone. Just to feel something land right.
Eventually, I made my way to the rooftop pool. Neon danced on water, accompanied by stars. I saw new and old faces I hadn’t seen in months, maybe years. The kind that nod without speaking. Tonight wasn’t about noise. It was about presence. About connection.
