So that's
why she had picked that profession—none of these days were the same. People changed, their preferences changed. And so did their moods. Today, they wanted curly hair, and tomorrow they wanted to do a complete make-over that even the receptionist widened their eyes when overhearing the client.
Yet, not only do people change every day—but their stories change as well.
“Some women are afraid of booking a therapist they need, so they come to the hair salon. And voila, sometimes they open up and confess their betrayal. They actually tell you they have cheated on their husband or are on the way to their mister after your appointment.” Fleur's co-worker once said when she first started at the salon.
And Fleur couldn't do more than say nothing and attempt to hide her shock behind her poker face.
Now she focused on male clients. They hid their own mysteries, secrets, and gems inside. Fleur never pushed them to talk, but whenever one or two men eventually opened their mouths, she was fascinated.
She listened, nodded, and shared her own views on something when the man eyed her through the reflection of the mirror. At her young age, she knew there was a lot to learn from people.
She was like a black hole. Sucking in every secret or a mystery, and being confidential and so leaving her a
mystery herself.
