Cuteness vs Rudeness — Shinzō

When Susi came to me to discuss Shinzō’s next collection, she told me she wanted to explore her mother’s latest solo — something cute, memorable, but in an… adorable way. At the same time, she had another idea up her sleeve: something a bit ruder, more impactful, a line of pincers, chokers, and accessories inspired by a punk aesthetic.
Both ideas were brilliant, so deciding which one should come first was nearly impossible. But when we looked at the Shinzo logo again, everything clicked: Yin Yang; civil war; rudeness; cuteness… And that’s how the Shinzo challenge was born:
Cuteness vs Rudeness.
After all, why choose just one aesthetic when we could launch both? From there, our biggest challenge was presenting the concept to the executives and getting their approval. And if we’re sharing this now, it’s because we made it — in the end, we are the
hafus!
And, well, my team was set from the very beginning:
#teamrudeness.
