✨ 30 Years Old. And Feeling Everything. ✨
I turned 30 today.
I thought it would feel bigger — louder, maybe. Like fireworks or a spotlight hitting me just right.
But honestly? It feels… quiet. Heavy in some places, soft in others.
I’ve been nostalgic all week. Drifting in and out of memories I didn’t even realize I’d stored.
And somewhere in all of that, I started noticing things I’ve been avoiding:
I’ve been distant.
From friends I love.
From moments that mattered.
Even from myself.
I keep thinking about my son — how many times I’ve said “later” when he wanted my attention.
About messages I haven’t replied to, conversations I half-listened to, people who deserved more of me than the scattered pieces I gave.
Shows have been… automatic.
Like muscle memory playing the guitar for me while my mind floats miles away.
Maybe this happens when you hit 30.
Your heart sits you down, hands on your shoulders, and says:
“Hey. Look at your life. Really look.”
And I guess this is my moment to do exactly that.
These next few days, I’m taking space.
To breathe.
To think.
To put the pieces back where they belong.
To show up for my kid, my friends, my band — and myself — with something real, not the ghost I’ve been dragging around.
If you’ve felt neglected, I’m sorry.
If you’ve stayed anyway, thank you.
Here’s to 30 — not shiny or perfect, but honest.
Maybe that’s what I needed all needed ❤️
