(From) Whence We Came

Back at home for some rest after a few busy days in Tromsø (and beyond). A whopping six achievements gained, along with some experiences I'll take with me for the rest of my life.

Most of the trip was spent below the surface of the ocean. I think my next adventure will still revolve around it, only leave me closer to the surface as I explore the seven seas.

I rather like leaving you with a quote. Today's is inspired by my recent fascination with the ocean. Not much can compare with the way it makes me feel.

[The sea] contains so many colors. Silver at dawn, green at noon, dark blue in the evening. Sometimes it looks almost red. Or it will turn the color of old coins. Right now the shadows of clouds are dragging across it, and patches of sunlight are touching down everywhere. White strings of gulls drag over it like beads.

It is my favorite thing, I think, that I have ever seen. Sometimes I catch myself staring at it and forget my duties. It seems big enough to contain everything anyone could ever feel.
