tuesday, (28/01) — 8pm. how many times can u really break smth? glass shatters, sure, but a heart? not quite. does it even break at all?
i'm sure it just shrinks with every blow. gets so small you could only fit a goddamn fly in it. after that, you're heartless to the rest. others might try to squeeze in, but your shrunken heart won't have it. you can't stomach them, so you host them elsewhere. you let them live inside your brain, where they roam free. a fully accepted infestation, welcomed with open arms. they settle into that creaky chair, the one you desperately hope they won't discover. no matter how much it creaks, you let them sit there. you watch as they make themselves at home. they wander around with the lights on for days, discovering rooms even you didn't know existed. they move things around, rearrange your thoughts, tear it apart and poof, they're gone. then they leave you to pick up the pieces. you're left with burnt-out wreckage and no air to breathe, just like that.
