Meet Aitana: The Teen Behind the Eastham Glow | #LasEastham

Aitana sits on an ordinary chair. A camera was in front of her, but today her outfit didn’t matter, nor the likes, nor being an unattainable Eastham. Today was about herself—Aitana, the 13-year-old girl. She was leaving childhood behind, and a Rio de Janeiro magazine focused on teen influencers wanted to know more about her.

“What’s your biggest dream, Aitana?” The questions started big. She wasn’t prepared. In her life, she’d never had dreams—only goals. What is a dream? A goal you don’t believe you can achieve? The Eastham takes a moment to think.

“My dream is…” she pauses and keeps thinking. Suddenly, she blushes and answers with a soft, sweet little voice that makes it clear she’s being sincere: “…to love and be loved in a stable and simple way.”

No one expected such an answer. The interview continues.

“Where does the nickname ‘Tini’ come from? And a favorite among your followers that few know: What’s your zodiac sign? Do you believe in that?”

“Mom’s called me ‘Tini’ since before I was even aware. She says it’s because I was a tiny baby. Well”—she puckers her lips, embarrassed, smiling—“I’m still the shortest of my sisters. And my sign is Taurus, but I don’t let myself be guided by those things.”

Many other questions follow. Childhood experiences, fears, likes, food, and her relationship with her sisters. One last question remains.

“Where do you see yourself in 10 years, Aitana?”
